Our property requires a huge effort to clean up and mulch. It is not easy to access and there are a lot of plantings, so the work has to be done manually. Mario's crew was amazing! They were so thorough, professional and skilled. Thank you so much for the fantastic work! Highly recommend!

Mario and his crew did some mid-sized jobs for us over the last several years, but this latest was the most complex. He and his crew installed 2 cables in our massive oak, lightened overhanging limbs in the oak, two adjacent maples and took off a dangerous limb from our neighbor's 120 foot high silver maple overhanging our row of skip laurels. They were skillful and careful, and we will call Mario again for landscaping jobs of any size going forward. We highly recommend him. And, his daughter is a great business manager who doesn't hesitate to pitch in with the on-the-ground clean up at the end of the day. She's studying to be a professional hardscape designer.

Project: remove very large, dangerous oak tree
We had a ninety-five-foot oak tree standing just thirty feet from the corner of our house. It was on a hillock in an impossible-to-access wooded area. The top-most branches were dead and halfway up the tree, at the primary fork, the joint had rotted and been repaired by previous owners with a steel rebar (and cement as we saw later) more than a decade or two ago. Just this year we found that the tree’s roots were rotting, too. The tree now endangered our entire house. It had to be taken down, urgently. However, it was now too dangerous to climb.
Two arborists looked at it and couldn’t do it and another was very reluctant to take on the job, but Mario said yes and made it happen. He and his crew figured a way to thread a small lift between the adjacent trees and their branches to get close enough to this big oak for Mario to go up in its bucket and cut sections and drop them, piece by piece, into the very limited space below without damaging the other trees. They handled it like magicians. They carried the wood away leaving, at our request, only the -four-foot diameter bottommost section of the trunk lying on the ground. We plan to carve one end of it into a bench.
Mario Castro and his crew are extremely knowledgeable, capable, and professional. He is an able communicator who explained the situation to us and our close by neighbors (he had to run the lift through their yard to get to this tree) through every step of the project. The crew came when they said they would, started work on time, and remained as late as needed. All of this and his price was very reasonable, more than competitive.
Several immediate neighbors have hired Mario in the past few years, and we have already discussed his doing two additional projects for us. We give Mario and his team the highest possible recommendations, and our sincerest thanks.

Very nice work. We had a tree removed and stumps ground out. Mario also advised us to add new soil to level off the ground. They did a fantastic job with the tree and the work with the yard to level off. I have used them before and will continue to use them and recommend to anyone who asks!
